Frequently asked questions

A few of the things people ask most. Have a question that is not here? Reach out and just ask.

What areas does Soozy Pooch serve?

Susan is based in Elmer, NJ and works in your home across South Jersey, especially Salem and Gloucester counties, with nearby Delaware and the Philadelphia area within reach. If you are not sure whether she covers your town, just ask.

How does in-home dog training work?

Game Plans are in-home visits focused on you and your dog. Susan helps you set goals, learn to read your dog, and play through games chosen for your situation. There are 30 games in all, mixed and matched for your dog. You can choose a focused Three-Visit Game Plan or a deeper Six-Visit Game Plan.

What is the 30-games method?

It is a fun, game-based way to teach real skills. Dogs, and the adults and kids who love them, learn well through play, so Susan uses games to build communication, manners, and confidence. The goal is more than obedience: a shared language between you and your dog.

What kinds of problems can Susan help with?

Everything from puppy foundations and house manners to leash reactivity, reactive and anxious dogs, separation anxiety, and aggression. With more than 25 years of experience, Susan tailors the plan to your dog and your goals.

What training methods do you use?

Susan focuses on helping you become a calm, fair leader your dog trusts. Good behavior is built on respect, not harshness. The work is patient, practical, and built around your real home and routine.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on which Game Plan fits your dog, the Three-Visit or the Six-Visit plan. Reach out by phone or the contact form and Susan will walk you through current options and help you choose.

How do I get started?

Call (717) 201-6290 or send a message through the contact page with a little about your dog and what you would like to work on. Susan will get back to you to set things up.
